In Pursuit of Progress

A Heart Letter to the Woman Still Becoming

🎶 “Though the vision tarry, wait for it… It will come.” – Habakkuk 2:3

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it really means to pursue progress.
Not the filtered kind we post. Not the checklist we cross off.
But the messy, inconsistent, often exhausting becoming that happens when we say yes to growth, even when the glow-up feels far away.

Because this part of the journey!
It’s not always cute. It’s not always Instagrammable.
But sis, it’s always holy.

The Process Is the Point

We talk so much about the destination the goal, the win, the arrival.
But the truth is: the progress is in the doing, the deciding, the discipline.

For me, that’s looked like:

  • Saying yes to personal development even when my bank account says, “be still.”

  • Showing up for Bible study on a tired Wednesday night, learning how to live “The Third Way” - where Jesus isn’t just a figure I admire, but the GOAT example I follow.

  • Holding space for grace and accountability because some days, I crush my goals… and others, I’m crushed by them.

And still, I love my life.
Even when it’s hard.
Even when money’s tight.
Even when I don’t see the breakthrough yet.
I can feel the foundation of something beautiful being built.

The Pursuit Requires Pouring

Pursuing progress demands that we pour in so we have something to pour out.
That means pouring into our spirit, our health, our mental peace, our sisterhood.

If you’ve ever:

  • Delayed a purchase to invest in your dream

  • Sacrificed sleep to finish your coursework

  • Skipped the easy path to take the right one...

Then sis, you’re already in pursuit of progress.
And that makes you powerful.

Keep Going, Sis.

To the woman navigating furloughs, inflation, tight budgets, heavy hearts -
You are still growing. Still becoming. Still chosen.

And if nobody told you lately: you’re doing better than you think.
Keep watering your seed. God hasn’t forgotten the harvest.

✨ Progress doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it whispers, “I’m still here.”

P.S. I Love You,
Dalila đź’™
