Speak Life, Sis

A blog of encouragement for women navigating life’s journey.

There are days when I feel like I can barely hear my own voice beneath the noise.

On those days, I’m blessed to have a husband who reminds me I’m strong. Children who still look to me. Friends who check in, whispering “You got this.” And I thank God for them.

But lately, I’ve realized something deeper: what I say to myself matters just as much, maybe more.

Because when the house is quiet, when the weight of life is heavy, when I’m staring at a to-do list that feels longer than my energy… it’s my voice I hear the most.

And too often, that voice repeats old programming:
“You’re behind.”
“You’re not doing enough.”
“You should be further along by now.”

But sis… no more.

I’m learning to speak life over myself.
To silence the inner critic with compassion.
To drown out shame with truth.
To remind myself: “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”
(Philippians 4:13)

There’s power in your words, especially the ones you say when no one is listening.

So today, I want to say this to you and to myself:

You are not failing — you are growing.
You are not too late — you are right on time.
You are not alone — you are being carried by grace.

And your journey? It’s not just for you.

The healing, the hard days, the breakthroughs , they’re all part of the overflow that will bless someone else.
That’s what legacy is: living a life that pours into others.
But first, we must pour into ourselves with love, with patience, with life-giving words.

So go ahead:
Look in the mirror.
Speak truth.
Speak purpose.
Speak life, sis.

We’re walking this out together. 💙

P.S. I Love You,

Dalila 💙
